Job Description:
This position reports into a Senior Software Engineering Manager and will be based in our Bangalore office.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, test, and maintain code for software applications with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability
- Work with senior engineers and product managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Collaborate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to improve code quality and learn best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects, ensuring a seamless user experience
- Contribute to backend development and infrastructure, with mentorship and guidance from senior team members
- Write documentation for new and existing features, ensuring clarity and consistency
- Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve development processes
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to contribute fresh ideas and approaches
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0-2 years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on coding skills in languages like Java, Ruby, Python or C#.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Enthusiasm for backend technologies and willingness to gain experience in backend development
