General Summary:
Qualcomm’s SW Engineering IT development team is responsible for developing and supporting ALM, Engineering tools and DevOps for Qualcomm engineers globally.
We are looking for a Software Developer to help us develop an enterprise and web-based application for Qualcomm engineers. Design and develop Code Distribution applications for one of the world’s largest Semiconductor company. Implement web applications and engineering tools including programming at the data layer, the integration layer, the API layer, and the UI layer.
• Full Stack Developer responsible for developing and designing front end/back-end application.
• Keeps abreast of current technology trends and familiar with application development best practices.
• Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision or direction.
• Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
• Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business.
• Experience in working in a DevOps environment
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Collaborate with users, QA and Management to ensure that enhancements and application defects are managed effectively. Communicate status of development activities as required.
• Responsible for developing and executing formal performance test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
• Ensure Code quality and participate in the code review meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
OR
Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing) and 1+ year of IT-relevant experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of IT-relevant experience.
• 1+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with programming (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
