Looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join the Dataprep Team at Alteryx. If you have a passion for
scalable data processing systems, are eager to learn cloud technologies, and actively explore how AI can

execution layer for applications in the Alteryx analytics cloud alongside industry peers and mentors.
Role Summary
- Hands-on associate engineer focused on developing, testing, and maintaining Java/Spring backend services that
- power Dataprep and data processing. Work closely with senior team members on features, bug fixes, and
- reliability improvements, while bringing an open mindset toward using modern AI tools to streamline development
- and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building, maintaining, and testing backend services using Java and Spring / Spring Boot.
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs for frontend interactions and service integrations.
- Write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews, and learn CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, product) to deliver incremental features and fix bugs.
- Debug issues, write unit tests, and help maintain core code reliability.
- Maintain active awareness of emerging software practices and AI tooling to optimize personal productivity and
- code quality.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of software development experience (or strong internship/academic project experience) in Java and
- Spring.
- Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), core data structures, algorithms, and basic design
- patterns.
- Foundational understanding of relational or NoSQL databases, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Git version control, unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit), and basic CI/CD concepts.

- engineering.
