Job Description :
As a Cloud Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Ellucian Cloud SaaS environments, ensuring 99.9% service SLA is met.
- Be part of an on-call rota available to respond, troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Identifying, analysing, and optimizing cloud operation processes, in collaboration with the Network, Platform, Database, and Applications teams for automation.
- Writing standard operating procedures and training our operations engineers to use and maintain the automation tools.
Where you will make an impact
- Ensuring the team meets its SLA targets and identifying and implementing reliability and efficiency improvements.
- Assisting the team in planning, testing and implementation of infrastructure and application deployments using automation.
What you will bring
- 0 to 2 years of experience in maintaining reliable, fault tolerant infrastructure and application availability for a large production environment.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in automation deployments using Git, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins.
- Proficient in Linux and its administration
- 1+ years of experience with AWS VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, ELB, SNS, AMI, IAM, KMS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Be a team player who’s willing to make every effort to ensure the team’s success.
- Be proactive, positive, creative and flexible.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
