We’re looking for a Full-stack Engineer (front-end focussed) at EY GDS. You will work on designing and implementing modern web applications with a focus on front-end development using Angular or React.js with TypeScript. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and manage scalable back-end services, APIs, and database integrations that meet business needs and leverage best practices in full-stack development and cloud technologies.
Your key responsibilities
- Front-End Development: Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular or React.js with TypeScript.
- API Integration: Collaborate in building and consuming REST APIs and GraphQL services.
- Back-End Development: Contribute to development of back-end technologies using Java, Python, or Node.js and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write tests, and ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
- Deployment: Work with CI/CD pipelines and support deployment activities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions.
- Technology Updates: Stay updated with emerging web technologies and apply best practices in performance and security.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Angular or React.js and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and ES8+.
- Knowledge of state management, component-driven architecture, and responsive design.
- Exposure to Java, Python, or Node.js for back-end development.
- Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Basic exposure to Docker and containerized deployments is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Education:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
