  • Develop basic scripts (Python / PowerShell) to reduce manual effort.
  • Work with APIs and structured data formats (JSON)
  • Support automation initiatives and process optimisation efforts.
  • Build foundational understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD practices.

Network Operations – Incident Management & Coordination

  • Monitor network, systems, and infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wireless, VPN, firewalls, cloud) in a 24×7 environment using standard NOC tools.
  • Detect, triage, and respond to alerts, incidents, and outages with defined SLAs.
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting across network and system components (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, circuits)
  • Log, track, and manage incidents via ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow etc.)
  • Follow established SOPs for troubleshooting and escalation to L2/L3 teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Network, Security, Application, Cloud) and external vendors/ISPs for issue resolution.
  • Perform routine operational tasks such as configuration backups, patching, upgrades, and health checks.
  • Support network changes, validation, and implementation activities.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate incident records, RCA documentation, and network artefacts.
  • Generate periodic reports on uptime, alerts, and performance trends.
  • Update SOPs, runbooks, and internal knowledge base consistently.

2. Key Skills & Background

DevOps / Automation (Must-Have)

  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Awareness of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, GitHub) and CI/CD concepts.
  • Understanding of cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Basic working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Awareness of REST API, Webhook, CSV, Jason etc.

Networking Fundamentals (Must-Have)

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching
  • Basic understanding of firewall and network security concepts
  • Familiarity with WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity
  • Exposure to enterprise network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Experience or exposure to monitoring tools (LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, ManageEngine, etc.)

Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to perform initial fault isolation and structured troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability and willingness to learn.

Soft Skills
