Job Description :
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. The employee will have a strong background in cloud platforms, system architecture, and an ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
- Design and Implementation : Develop and deploy scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Cloud Management: Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines and policies, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity and implement appropriate solutions to address any issues.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in cloud environments.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
- Technology Watch: Keeping track of technology trends to improve our Cloud designs and deployment.
Essential qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software engineering
- 0-1 years of knowledge in S/W Engineering, Scripting & Systems / Infrastructure
Key competencies
- Experienced in Cloud Technology Stacks
- Operating System: Windows Server 2016+ or a recent Linux Distribution
- Cloud Technology concepts – IaaS, PaaS etc.
- Database Concepts
- IaC – Terraform and Salt etc.
- A strong proficiency in at least one of the following Python, YAML, Windows, Linux, Json & PowerShell, bash
Nice to Have Skills
- Understanding of CI/CD tools preferably Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins or others.
- Understanding of an iterative Agile methodology
