Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities of this job will be as follows:
- Serve as a design engineer on assigned Additive manufacturing development projects.
- Obtain product statement of requirements and generate mechanical designs for AM with the goal of meeting performance requirements
- Perform conceptual and detailed design on projects through CAD and iterate designs, complete qualification and release new AM products.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Electronics and Automation, Software and Materials department.
- Ability to research, design, prototype build and manufacture the mechanisms and systems that will allow our printers to be reliable for customers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and computer-aided design
- Willingness to work in Chennai and Bangalore (any or both)
Preferred qualifications:
- Exposure to Machine building.
- 1-4 years of Industrial experience.
- Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing techniques including sheet metal forming, injection molding and machining.
